Thanks for the reply Perna, I would box it out first, however my tutor has instructed us otherwise and wanted us to model the wheel for next weeks lesson. If I boolean the shape out of the wheel, wont it create pinching when turbosmoothed?
I need to just sit down and try all the brushes. I think i use like 4. Clay, clay tubes/building, dam standard, hpolish, pinch, trim dynamic. Ok that's more than 4 but that's all i really rely on
Very true. What I've got there is more proof of concept than final product. The maps are pretty rough, and the pinched UVs at the top of the UDK sphere don't help much. I'll see about dropping it on something else when I get a chance.
pior: that tool at 3.20 is just the same sculpting tools. You can have alphas, pinching, carving, different kind of brushes etc just like in zbrush, but not at quite the same performancelevel. And I think in modo 301 they didnt have all the sculpting in yet?
MdK: Claybuildup (main brush), slash or Dam standard (to draw the lines), Snake Hook or Slide (to make the bangs) Pinch (to adjust the bangs format and tighten the cavities) and hPolish. I did a hair sculpt live stream, but for some reason, twitch didn't recorded it =(
very nice dude, love the quality of the fabric up around his sholders, i'd maybe like to see the straps on his legs pinching and effecting the folds of his fabric though, they feel a bit like they're hovering around his legs atm
maybe it's the fact that a shit-ton of people started drawing like the dood. The minute all the comics had those constipated pinched faces all over the covers I started reading weirder+better stuff, I guess I should be thankfull for the guy.
after seeing these in action i gotta get one soon for my office, you can watch tv on them and these are fully 1080p hd ready, just think this touch of color series is real nice, already plan on getting me a 52 inch hdtv toc for xmas for the living room,…
Hello again, Did some changes regarding sharp edges on some parts, also changed the screws since they were too sharp and pinched around the edges where the screwdriver goes in, changed mat to blinn so the edges are more highlighted. Next is the neck thingy that holds the drawtube Again, comments/critique very welcome
This is really cool so far man! I'm with Nosslak - those edges are way too tight. You also have some pinching going on near the (handgaurd?) section, and the top piece above that as well. The areas around the bolts on those pieces looks a bit sunk in as well. Keep it up man, looking forward to the updates :D
