Which limits the mods. Cmon, with Q3 and UT2k4, didn't you once download a model of something from another property? A Mario, Homer S., whatever. By having to go through Epic, its changing the whole dynamic of what UT was about.
lol, same here Jeffro. The 4 player split screen is nice to see for a PS3 game. Most games seem to ignore that option these days. I don't have a wii, and my kids love Mario kart. This is a great substitute... and then some.
Hehehe I do like this, looks like a more "real" version of Mario, well, I'm guessing it's what you guys are getting your inspiration from no? Looking forward to seeing more on this. Are you guys going to use the UDK?
Nice. I wanted to play the first Joy Ride but having to use the Kinect killed that idea. I am happy to try this out now! I'm hoping it will cure my urge to play Mario Kart. The environments look fantastic.
How DARE they tease Zelda and not have it at launch... I'm so tempted but the launch line up looks really poor. No Mario game, no Layton, no Zelda, just Nintendogs and that hit or miss RE game... Damn... Monies burning a hole :(

I am going to sound like a real old head for saying this but...... Makai Kingdom, or anything from the mario rpg series Such games gave me the message "No idea is too outlandish; if you can imagine it, put it to paper/model/paint program.
There is a HUGE shortage of environment artists. I don't want to derail Marios post so I;m going to start a 2d/3d/discussion post - http://boards.polycount.net/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=164474&an=0&page=0#Post164474 r.
That was great. Pretty much what I think, but unlike this guy I don't have the wisdom to go and make something out of it. That's gotta change. One thing that spoke to me is how you gotta do art for yourself, and ALWAYS for yourself. Sure, we want somebody to pay us to do that, and they usually they want you to do their…
