No biggy, but just for the record, I think you've borrowed quite a lot from this hammer I made some time ago. Not that I wasn't inspired by some other stuff obviously, but you literally took some details from my prop, plus the silhouette and then wrote:
every artist here @ 10tacle was using the beta, it's just tha tool you need when you want to speed up your work :) Be sure, I'll hammer both my boss and my AD for ordering a few ;) I just can't live without it, now.
I'm not too big on episodic content either. It strikes me as the master plan to make big bucks by adding negligible stories and items to an existing game, instead of hammering out a solid expansion pack. Then again, I have yet to see exactly how it plays out.
Hey everybody, I'm new to all this too. So when playing custom CS:S maps (made in the Hammer editor I think) you often see them made of orange untextured boxes sometimes with 128x128 or something written on them. I take it these would be 'grey box' maps?
\o/ Interview with Ken if you cats are interested http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/12/video-interview-ken-levine-on-bioshock-infinite/ And a joy stick stuff (sites getting hammered atm, so heres another linky!) http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/12/bioshock-infinite-preview/
I think if I saw the hammer scene as a kid I'd remember it for months. That said, I still get chills thinking about that goosbumps episode where these kids sneak into a basement... and an episode of superman where lois and clark got abducted. Basically, you never know, it's not that bad, wing it!
@jackalope: We'll hammer out the details of that submission process as we approach that time, but I presume you would be notified. At the very least, you should notice the extra income from the revenue share :) @TheMightyKnight: It's not possible at the moment unfortunately. We obviously recognize this is an issue, and…
I wouldn't sweat the slide and hammer as those could be internal. However I would consider adding a front site to compliment the rear site you have already built. In addition I might suggest you texture the grip to differentiate it from the rest of the "lower receiver." It's looking good!
Right on Ely. It was very easy, but fun! Definitely the proper mod for learning to use Hammer. For the next one(s) though try and have it so the items in the map all contribute to the puzzle. The companion cube and 2 turrets weren't there for any reason except... to be there, so it was a bit confusing. Otherwise, nice!
weird is the lil oval safty thing behind the main cylinder floating really high? in your first render an the wire it seems right next to the cyllinder, but in the 2nd renderer it apears way back even past the screw near the hammer. but anyway sweet model, one of my fave guns
