Is there a way to use laser scanners to get this type of result or is using photos a better option. I have some Faro laser scanners at work and would like to explore new ways on how to implement them.
If you are texturing in Zbrush you painting directly on the polygons in 3D space. There are a few ways of texturing in Zbrush. The most common ways are just painting with the sculpting brushes set in RGB mode or by projecting photo textures via Spotlight. There are two ways you can use this. Method 1 is to paint on your…
Wow, thanks for all the wonderful feedback! I've made some of the changes suggested: Brighter ambient for the dining room. Better or worse? I think it's a little too bright now... Floor tile kept for now, but I'll play around with some more textures later. Base paint and floor tile for the kitchen added. Trim and shadows…
So after thinking about it, using both fibermesh and GMH2, I came up with a method for baking both of them down to UV's. Fibermesh gives off the fastest baking result but is more pixelated. Because the fibermesh isn't automated like GMH2, it requires more work to actually create the hair. Arguably it is the better method…
[ QUOTE ] that's a very nifty model, i like the attention to the panel lines. i checked the ref though and i gotta agree, i think it might be a little bit too narrow across the x-axis. or maybe it's the perspective giving that illusion. either way, with guns in first person view it's usually a good practice to thicken them…
In the above example if you're going to cloth sim the cape and the cloth that hangs over the legs as well as the tunic piece you should probably do a full on collision mesh, like a force field around the character But don't push it out too far away from the low poly mesh use the offset value for that. Its going to look a…
Wip of the Orbital Laser. Would like any feedback on the timing and colors so far. Having the timing down for target would help before moving on to the timing of the laser, blast and additional elements [vv]123025906[/vv]
Litte update: - added laser rail (way to short but I don't want to cut the barrel cover - added laser aim (WIP) - fixed the fire type switch - added that thing that throws away a shell-case
dont forget to chunky up the laser pointer and the little keychain thin. right now it's too tiny. I made somethng like this, some time ago. Check my website, it has a laser pointer in a revolver :)
@aclund3 It was a fun exercise. I knew going into it what I wanted more or less but testing out different themes was interesting. I really liked Midnight but I don't feel like it fit the theme very well. I may make something later that fits more in line with it. @heyeye Thanks! Not going too crazy on lighting just yet but…
