I recreating the lost woods scene from the Legend of zelda series. Looking for tutorials for realistic lighting ( dark forest scene) and ways to generate trees for an environment. I using 3ds max and Vray for this project. Using itoo software trial version for trees but not happy with the results.
this is my first terrain, look kind of bare with nothing in it but its going to have a large forest area then complex area near the base of the mountains. there will also be a small river going down the crevice area. any comments or anything to make it better would be good.

Im gonna use Medusa rock generator for my rocks witch i put inside the cave the forester or speedtree for my trees and grass and 3ds max for my models photoshop,substance painter and quixel suite for my texturing.
