Importing a 16bit .tif from xnormal seems bugged at the moment. It shows up much darker than it actually is (not an sRGB problem). Converting the normal map to 8bit tif or tga works. I swear 16bit worked fine in 201/202?
Spend 1100-1200 with a strong CPU and enough ram plus a GPU good for the next 2 years, then spend the remaining 300-400 on a new GPU once the next-gen consoles have landed and given the PC market a bit of a push.
If you have the money to spare, I can definitely vouch for FXPhd. Its ~300$ for 3 courses and you get to watch 2 weeks for free from all classes and then you have to commit to 3. Think there's one that starts in June.
what can i say, it runs in the family. you should see our family reunions. they always end up in arguments and hyperbole, where a bunch of 300 pound norwegians argue over who's the angstiest, and has had the worst life.
22-30k for drakes fortune models? Wow, that makes them even less impressive. I tend to agree that this model could do with a lot of opimisation and you wouldn't notice a thing, shouldn't need anything more than a 2048 also.
Clock doesn't mean much outside of comparing processors in the same series, which isn't the case here. Also these processors overclock well, which is pretty safe to do, especially since the processor is only $300 on a lot of websites.
if i am correct... thats 3.2 days? im trying to wrap my head around why you would make that so big? if its for a ground plane that would be big.. why not just do a shader composite?
@PixelGoat 30k tris seams okay for a lod0 tree but with this kind of setup (for the leaves) you can't just use a decimation tool to get your lod1? Do you create another leaf card material for other lod?!
latest piece I did, a stylized realtime vampire on artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/59rA8 https://us.v-cdn.net/5021068/uploads/editor/dz/bf96waayyrlh.png textured in substance. Around 30k tris, two 2k maps.
