Hi Amile, Thank you for your feedback. The nose was a design choice to emphasise it a bit. When/if continuing this speed sculpt, I will probably use the pinch brush more to get a similar feel to other elements of the character (Ie.Hands, ears and detailing) Ras
I think the angle of the goggles is correct, it is the spacing between them that looks off. Looking at the bottom right photo in your reference, the goggles appear very close together. It looks like the top of the "beak" needs to be pinched together/more pointed as well.
All that hard work paid off!! Last Light is a SHITLOAD of fun. Now I know why it looks so good :) I like the way you modeled the pinched/wrinkled fabric. If you could share your process that would be superb!
I have some high poly issues with the dispenser shaft , I can't seem to make the cylinder clean without a pinch from the control edge of the cut in the face. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Low Poly Wireframe: Turbosmoothed Reference
looks more like a water jug with no lid meant to frustrate the wannabe drinkee. on a more serious note, looks like you might want to work on the middle part a bit where i connects, the smoothing sorta looks like its pinching.
hi Ben i wanted to chip in that for your cloak texture, adding smaller light waves in the fabric that cut across the large ones and pointed to pinch or snag points will make them look more involved and interesting. it's real quick and works well.
Ah, sorry. Couldn't understand that immediately. To be honest though. It is still hard to give an answer. What seems to have happened is that you had a lower poly mesh before this one. Which had an improper polyflow. And then you subdivided it with smoothing, causing it to pinch. But this is quite speculative since we are…
You have a lot of lumpyness on the body and some pinching in the sharp edges coming off the rounder shapes. Can you show some wires? On a side note, I like the body shape design but the window shapes, size, and placements do not make much sense and fit the body very well in my opinion.
It feels like the wrinkles/folds are all the same size, maybe you should use the pinch-tool at some of the tighter spots? Turn off the bronze material as well and use a regular clay one. Save the bronze material for the texturing :) Make sure you nail the sculpt first. Good work so far :)
I think you're going to fast, and it's hurting the quality of your work. It's pretty good, but it needs to be cleaned up and polished. There's a lot of blobs and aberrations that your transferring in your normal map. Using the pinch, polish and smooth brushes you should do a bit of cleaning passes. This will improve your…
