mostly RPGs, adventures, some action RPG - recently Tyranny, Thimbleweed Park, Her Majesty's Spiffing, Torment and AC Origins. I Just got two left thumbs when it comes to FPS and platformers
Haha, latter half of this thread is a huge WTF. Anyways, Not sure about Dream studio, but my dream project would be making an Adventure game out of Neil Gaiman's Sandman. Working with a bunch of awesome people.
Unless you're using Mari for very high-res UDIM assets then Substance Painter is far superior for a game asset workflow. Mari's UI always reminds me of a mid-90s Amiga adventure game.
Jean/shoe work in progress of a new 'adventure' character I'm working on for the port: Trying to shoot for a quality bar like the Uncharted 2 main characters or catstyles sweet cowboy piece. Critiques and comments welcome.
http://www.videogaming247.com/2008/08/21/new-heavy-rain-information-coming-to-you-live-from-gc08/ seems interesting. Not interactive movie, more like choose your own adventure. :p
Man, with the music and all it really looks like it would be awesome in an adventure game or rpg of sorts. Love the theme and the mood. Too bad all the big budget goes into action games these days. :/ Beautiful work. :)
Nah not 60fps...some games dont need it and you get half the time to render everything an slower adventure game id want twice the fillrate etc... maybe enforced 60 or 30 if thats possible.
I was finally(!) able to to wrap up this sculpt over the weekend. Tonight I'll start blocking out a wolf companion, ya know, just so he has some company on his pillaging adventures!
Another great reason to try out Age of Conan now is that Funcom recently made a free trail available - http://www.fileplanet.com/198196/190000/fileinfo/Age-of-Conan:-Hyborian-Adventures-Trial-Client-(US)
This is a staff weapon from concept art from the Age of Conan, Hyborian Adventures. I don't know the actual name for it, so I named it after an African tribe who uses staffs as weapons and in ceremonies. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
