Intel i7-5820K@3.3ghz, 64 gb ram, nvidia 980ti...this one is fairly new but i haven't had to wait 1-2 minutes not even on my old pc which was 5 years old. Have you tried an older photoshop version? the new ones tend to lag a lot. Try cs6 or something -

I've downloaded the Quixel Suite and am running it in Trial mode.
