You really need to fix that grip. It isn't shaped like the real one at all near the top where the ridges terminate. Also there is some pinching going on that will definitely show up in the low poly. Are you going to add the rough grip on the butt? That'd really put this over the top detail wise.
This is a good start. One thing that I do notice right away though is the spacing of your polygons. There are area such as the front and side of the legs where the polygons are really long and close together. This will create a pinch when brought into zbrush. That is the first thing I'd fix before adding more detail. keep…
You have a lot of bad pinching and lumpiness, especially on the front end around the hood and grill. If you put a high spec/gloss material on in your viewport and renders they will be easy to spot. As for your questions I can't really answer most, but first and foremost you need to get a clean highpoly model.
The only thing that I picked up that hasn't been covered yet is that your car has some pinching and odd shading in areas. The rear area and the circular logo on the side are the prime examples. It looks as if you modeled it in a bit of a rush. Still, very nice portfolio. I love the man in a jar piece :)
Looking good, man. I wouldn't sculpt because depending on how much you know or don't know modeling everything by hand could teach you some stuff like problem solving, minimizing pinching, etc. I guess it is up to you though. Either way this should look badass :) .
Hi, I'm currently unable to solve this problem ... I need to keep the shape round outside (without pinch) while i also need to keep the shape angular inside. Please take a look at the screenshot. If someone know hot to :-) I'll Be happy to learn. M assimo
By unsmoothing the new edge there is no noticeable smoothing error at the op. There is still minor pinching in the original corner but not badly. Still wondering others opinions on how to handle the situation. Following a tutorial (ChamferZone's Ultimate weapon) but some times the topology seems to not work out.
Hey, the model is looking great! One thing I noticed is some pinching on the exterior, on the side of the rear plate holder, but maybe you fixed it already as it's been a while since the exterior post. The interior looks sweet, so much work put into it.
shes looking awesome man, the face is coming together real nice aswell hope you dont mind but I did another paintover to annoy you haha, take with a pinch of salt, just some suggestions dude :) shes looking great!!!
Loving the new Marmoset toolbag :-) The render might a pinch dark. Just getting used to the srgb thing in the tool and also it was midnight:).Shall post a brighter when i do a truntable. Couldnt resist to post the results so far anyway :poly136:
