Made some rocks and stepping stones, as well as bricks on my bridge, for my Japanese Garden scene a while back. Was so easy and fun to make rocks. Mixing the organic with hard-surface in nature is actually my favorite type of art to do... =]
Yeah i know they are Korean but i was using it as an example of the work i would like to do and i do own some Japanese books as well. I like your idea of creating the background first as the anatomy is very hard to get rite.

So I have had this interest in Celtic and Japanese culture and decided to try a character that blended both together for a Katon Callaway workshop on cgsociety. I have finally roughed out a back story that I will update soon. In the meantime here are a few shots of the current sculpt. Would appreciate some C&C
i have found some scans from a capcom artbook, and they were terrible quality on animemodelsheets.com . I have done some searching and found mention of a japanese site with em, but i have yet to find it. If anyone has a streetfighter book, you think you could serve up some scans ?
