Knowledge of how shaders work, how to edit them in whatever tool you'll be using - whether it's node-based or what have you. Best ways to approach textures based on the tools you'll be using, e.g. what's going to work best with the streamer. Also things like obscure Max features - hiding by element, layers that the…
As for workflow, something that has helped me speed up over time is to always keep an open eye in the back of your mind and watch yourself work. If you find yourself pulling down a menu routinely or executing an identical series of actions, you need to recognize those as candidates for hot keys or macros or pop-up menus or…
No No No No No Nvidia cards have been purposely hobbled in 3D programs in order for them to justify you buying a Quadro, which then you lose gaming performance (which is bass ass backwards for our industry as we want to work on the same equipment as the end user). Ever since AMD bought ATI, their cards and drivers have…
Yeah this looks nice man. Though it is hard to see wha exactly is going on in the images as it is way too dark. From what I could make out though, the face looks like it could use a bit more work imo. Maybe streamline it a bit, make it smoother? Maybe that is just personal preference on my part though.
I looked into weebly and it's kind of cool if you are not totally anal about the code that goes into your site. it seems you can use image perfect to do all your image uploading needs... I use Imageready for all my gif animation needs... it works good enough... In Imageready for example you can say how long a frame stays…
Check out silo as well. It hasn't been updated in a long time but it still has one of the best and easiest to customize UIs. You can configure your input options for mouse, keyboard and menu access to work with any mouse click, including scroll wheel. You could probably set up a sweet config suitable to one handed…
Thanks for the detailed feedback; I know what time is worth, so thank you for sitting down to make detailed notes. From the feedback so far, looks like my best bet is to tear down all my 3D assets and rebuild my portfolio from the ground up, rather than swapping around as I have new material. Aside from the detailed…
Saw a co-worker demo Procreate yesterday actually. The interface is very fluid and the tools are really nice. Compared to the Artrage app it's a little more streamlined.
Its definitely an early draft for the mech i was aware how unsuitable it is as it stands xD, my plan is to have some sort of streamlined jetpack sort of thing with the sort of propellers you would get on a submarine or a submersible. Its not staying like that don't worry, but thanks for the comment :)
