That's simply amazing. I don't understand 1/10th of the stuff in this thread. Im currently making a sci-fi space station and i just cant understand how you've used such little texture space. Blowing my mind

Quick note, the deadline for the contest has been pushed back to July 18th as we got a lot of feedback from people wanting to participate but currently crunching for E3. This should give them a little more time to work on their submission.
I think dw shows very well how different personal tastes can be And I wouldn´t be able to order my top 10.. the first is as good as the 10th.. I´m so glad I´m no judge :)
Even though it seems to be illegal for the IRS to collect income tax based on the 16th amendment, it's not like you can just stop paying either. Sense illegal or not, they've got the guns and the government to back them. *edited to be less offensive.
Ryno: Seems it's not out until October 17th... that's what Amazon UK is telling me, anyway. I haven't read any of them, but that series seems to be highly recommended - I'll take a look as soon as I have the time/money
My development stages: Ok so I haven't been around for a while on my thread. I decided to focus on re-approaching the task. I am on my 11th or so try, Here are my results: It is still a WIP and as always im open to any crits.
@zetheros thanks a lot for your feedback. I will think about it. @GRAT0R thx, there will be some more details on the normalmap. As for the blade, it is a real world blade from the 14th century. I've finished now all the modelling tasks and will now focus on the textures (both are still wip)
Daarkan, a concept artist at Blizzard, should have his website live by the 11th as well. Don't get too caught up trying to figure out which tutorials to view just start drawing. http://enliighten.com/ Edit: This as well http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm
