Sorry, Please let me know if you can see it now. I'm using dropbox, for uploading and I think the files were not public before. They should be now, but I haven't ever attempted to upload images via dropbox to forums before. So I have no idea if you guys will be able to see it or not. Firebert: LOL
It seems like your trying to be a smart-ass about it, but you didn't follow my advice. your url: https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Photos/gogeta-33/A-Lambo_High_Sheet.jpg?w=be2b0c9d mine: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2323296/PC%20Folder/wtf_udk.jpg notice how mine doesn't have /photos/ anywhere in the shit? now heres a photo from…
Yeah, it's one example of why I don't like these bills. I use dropbox all the time, and I don't use it to share files illegally. But if someone else does, SOPA/PIPA would allow someone to have dropbox shutdown.
That's funny you mention that Scooby, I actually just found this article: http://lifehacker.com/5785518/use-dropbox-to-get-back-your-stolen-computer I just remembered I installed dropbox about a week ago. They haven't plugged it up to the internet yet... but I'll be checking my account frequently to see if there's any new…
I just use Windows Backup in Win 7. U can choose folders and whatnot and say when to backup and where to store the backup file. But if you want a true backup/mirroring u could use DropBox as well or Dropbox Automator
One thing I dislike about Dropbox is if you decide to clean up some space on Dropbox, and delete old images you posted on a forum, it's really annoying if you Google something specific and all of the images from one person are broken.
TESTING writing just the public link from dropbox http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14662692/avatar28081_9.gif.jpg writing the public link with img tags using the "insert image" button at the top of your reply box so ya... dropbox works fine here...
If you have problems syncing different folders just make a NTFS junction instead (e.g. with http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html). Then you can put all your stuff in one "Max" folder. I do this with Skydrive, but it should work with dropbox too. make a 'max/macroscripts' folder in…
Yea dropbox is awesome. You can even share out folders with other dropbox users and use it as a project server. It gets added to everyone account and keeps everything updated. That's what Vassago, Sefforin and my self are using for our Unearthly challenge and its working great.
I usually use dropbox folder just as backup. I work in my main project folder, and once in a while I copy the project files to the dropbox folder for it to be synced. I've heard multiple times that it's not recommended to work in a folder that's being synced. More so if the files change frequently.
