Authoring wise - they're just textures... With unreal they work fine on current gen consoles and were usable on PS4/xbone but you had to be very careful how you schedule updates due to a lack of memory bandwidth. Outside of unreal the tech is called sampler feedback and depends on direct storage (and I think bindless…
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qJNJE2 The rainy night in the corridor of the Resident Evil Opera House in my fantasy is another huge project. I hope I can complete it smoothly. . . As early as 2021, I made the lobby part. At that time, I basically made assets according to the specifications of UE5. Now I have time to…
There was an update to Carver today along with updated documentation. The new update adds a function to remove vertices that have less than three edges, which is helpful for cleaning up world geometry. See the docs for info on this new utility function.
You can use the polish functions in the "deformation" tab in the tool palette. You can experiment with the different functions and also with open and closed circle. Open circle will try to maintain the forms while closed circle (a circle with a point in the center) will not.
Hey Chronic, Much appreciated for the quick write up, but unfortunately I don't have access to Sincos function in my app, only low level math, would it be possible to to get said 'function' with low level math? Cheers.
Thank god you put tape on it, or else it wouldn't of been next gen spec! What's with the fad with tape on guns? A lot of the time people just put that crap on there randomly to increase the indie functionality on it. I see NO functionality of it being there.
I don't understand the argument of the big ugly colorful icons being targeted to "new users with no prior Win experience". Windows desktops, tablets or laptops are all fundamentally different from, say, an ipad (which can indeed be safely picked up instantly because it has no notion of hard drive or folders). You cannot…
Really? It's on dropbox, maybe try reloading? It might've been down when you looked. Either way, nevermind the previous request for checked colour, I'm just doing it with images now and that works. Bit of work to save out two states for everything, but it works fairly well. Could you add a toggle to the 'customise…
I pretty much agree with the last two posters, some aspects of the execution here are okay but the overall design doesn't feel informed by function. My advice is to study up on how guns work, we recently had a thread about how to do that if you're interested. A few things to think about. * You have bullets in the magazine.…
Some TexTools functions no longer work with newer Max versions (if I remember correctly) - From 2012 onwards though, Max's UV editor has gotten a lot better, including their normalising function..
