This is a major upgrade, yes. The upgrade is $75 for the Indie license, and we also have a special upgrade to Substance Live (which includes all our tools and Substance Source), where you only pay $9.90/month for 6 months if you already have a Substance Designer 5 license.
I've not had much time to keep going at this, but chugging along. So far had chance to get a few bits with an initial substance designer pass, its far from pretty at this stage. I'm hoping to refine the substances and meshes as I go (testing iteration speeds through substance to).

Looks really great! You created all these rock materials in Substance Designer. Did you use vertex painting or Substance Painter to mix all the materials?

I mean, most of these are tileable textures with some atlassing: I'd say Substance Designer with whatever remedial Zbrush/Substance Painter work you need to do.
