Well, no need to send me the files for something so simple I guess. Well, this alpha sorts perfectly fine for me. No flicker. Two objects with alpha overlapping each other in the viweport. Is that all youre trying to do? Or have I misunderstood?
It's a good idea to get into the habit of making art that will have as few technical problems as possible. I recommend cutting those objects rather than leaving them clipping. It's better for lighting, shadows, and can prevent ugly texture flickering/z-fighting.
Here is the first update 0.2, still VERY RAW. It doesn't flicker anymore and works on currently active Editable Poly or Edit Poly Modifier. Still need to rework the Zoom part. Get it here. Evaluate and find it under category "IllusionCatalyst Tools"
Oh also, I'm looking for some specific active-skill gems. Raise Spectre, Blood Rage, Flicker Strike, Phase Run. Mostly green ones. So if you have any spare Green skill gems and you wanna trade, let me know.
I agree with the earlier comment about moving the props for particular environments to the pages for the environments, and using the props page for independent objects. The text on the props listing the polygon count and texture sizes is a bit hard to read even in the slideshow mode - is there any way you can use larger…
A few more shots. Down to the last 5-10% here, not too much else to add. Lighting is done primarily with a number of static/baked lights, a few stationary lights to get shadows on the moving foliage, and some particle lights to add that candlelight flicker.
I couldn't believe that hand-painted scene was 3D until the camera started moving. Really awesome work!! For the realistic scene it would have been cool if the candles were flickering and if there was a bunch of food on the tables. I liked the funny posters and stuff though :)
well i can't seem to find a way to scale the uvs on screensize/distance without nasty flickering and it appears that there is no way to import an image like dds with premade mipmaps so i could remnove stronkes and make them thicker with each mipmap level :(
It's not doing the job for me and I'm using Win7 64bit, CS6 64bit I just don't know what else it could be. I tried some different GPU drivers and that didn't help either :( . When I press the ndo/ddo icon photoshop flickers and nothing happens :(
