Also check out the surface map rendering included in 3dsmax its under Rendering > Render Surface Map. They where part of polyboost (now called Graphite modeling tools) and where included in 2010.

What kind of art are you looking at including? Is it going to be realistic looking stuff, or more cartoony, dreamy? (Sorry for the terrible adjectives - I'm sleepy) Also, are you looking at including purely 2D artwork, or 3D?
i did and it zbrush did recocnize maya crease, the file export from MA file does include crease but it just MA file, other file like fbx and obj doesnt include crease
