yep, his tools are what blender really is missing btw, if create a new 3d coordinate system along a plane or edge, is there a way to use shortcuts like move on x axis in the new created coordinate system ? you can use the widgets, and they work, but if you use shortcuts like "move on x (g + x)" it uses the old global…
@Justo I can't see any reason to not have the cursor always set to geometry, so you would just need to change the transform orientation. I don't remember the default hotkey to move the cursor arround, is shift+right click here. This is also very usefull to create objects that you want facing to specific direction, when you…
Slowly moving forward to make things work. Short demo with some features(drawing strokes with polyedges and creating face patches similar to NURBS, with ability to edit subdivisions) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1zdnbsyJbA
@Fletcher For the uv window you can you can generate a fill image to get rid of the lines, alternatively you can create your own uv grid image and import it. https://imgur.com/i1wIBW2
on object creation, go under surfaces and create nurbs surfaces, or nurbs curve and connect them alt + c -> mesh from curve this way you can also apply all modifiers on multiple meshes
WOW THIS SMOKE SIMULATION STUFF IS AWESOME! If I could only do one click baking instead of having to play the animation through, however... that'd be nice. Trying to create a 8 frame looped fire with it is hard.
Pretty good looking iOS game made in Blender with a little how-to. http://itunes.apple.com/app/ratnband/id447849266?mt=8# http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?226064-Rat-n-Band-game-created-with-Blender
Knife Project is pretty cool. It is part of the tools added to help with creating models for 3D Printing, but obviously useful or modeling other things also. Other stuff for 3D Printing: Print Toolbox Add-on Ruler and Protractor
To me this would be completely new that parts of the UI disappear, just because the model has no UVs. I mean normally you also just unwrap for the first time and don't have to manually create a UV layer.
Good Idea. I'm gonna repeat this action to dozens of UV islands. The best way for me to do it is to create a script that aligns the selected UV vertices, pin the UVs, select the island, do an unwrap, and then unpin the UVs.
