Thanks @malcolm , I have plan to have floating windows, if i get enough bugs/features list then i can release V2.1 may be. Currently planning to do some advanced tools that i might sell  . Anyway if somebody wants to give money they can always give it through gumroad.
thanks. bookmarked :) the thing that's the slowest for me is resizing the thumbs (db access is blazingly fast, I dont worry about this), especially photos which come in huge sizes - I think Qt's nice option for resizing is Bicubic. Nearest-neighbour is as ugly as it's fast though, but I really don't want that :/ I guess I…
@animax - You may need to download Dotnet4.0 on your x64 machine for this to work. I thought windows would have installed it, but maybe not. For anyone crashing, try installing Dotnet 4.0 and let me know if that fixes it... @Denny - I will look at the Drag/Drop right now quick. I think I might know whats wrong. Either way,…
Ha ! I see ! I saw some builders which allow you to do that but I'm not comfortable with this idea because based on what I want to do (allow the user to make joints where he wants and how many he wants) it will not be be compatible. (Maybe I'm wrong, I do this like an exercise after all ! :))
i recently rewrote some parts of a script (i had permission) to scatter groups, too... never found any online, but i think its too unpolished to be released, but maybe its an idea to expand yours?
I did not want to create a new thread for one single question, so I thought I could ask here: How come my Max previews ambient occlusion only in orthographic view, not in perspective?
It's currently done in Mel script, which is very slow for that. One day I will try the C++ API. :) I don't share yet my script because I have still a lot of bugs to resolve unfortunately.
I guess its one way to familiarize oneself with blender ;) and I think I would do the same. Just create a panel in python that mimics many of the great features in 3dsMax and then slowly dive into the blender world
