yes i want to bake it onto a lowpoly but the bolt i need are on flat surfaces too. i show you the one i need. maybe you can give me a hint how to get this one on a curves surface. and its already a floater. as i mentioned i tryed it with bending but it does not the job. and placing it on the curved position like this still…
I'm trying to model this shape and then bevel it. Beveling destroys the flat surface on top and makes these strange slopes at the corners. Is there a better way to do this?
This is high poly modeling practice so I need to model them in. If the pattern was on a flat surface it would be simple, but the plate itself is a cylinder... ???
@sixbysix what do you mean by "it's ugly"? The cage of the subdiv surface? What's this mesh for? It might not matter if the cage is ugly if it shades right
