Dude, you're using too much geometry, and most of those edges don't flow regularly. Here, check the basics: 1) https://vimeo.com/2650080 2) https://vimeo.com/2158706
Thanks Danielmn for spending time to help, it's another way to approach. I'll keep some steps to apply in another model which more complicated. This one I think previous way is fine. sebas, I think in ur example, quad in quad and subdiv at least level3 to make it smooth. (>10500 faces). Another hand, 8sides in quad just…
Updated my techniques and tutorials .zip. There are 2 parts to avoid people getting duplicates (should be 87 items total). Again, for additional info, I added the link to the page the image is from in the comments of the image so it may make more sense in context of the rest of the thread. Some of the techniques might not…
Hi Can someone help me? i trying to connect 2 cylinders that have different number of edges and i cant change that number because it will affect the entire model how do i connect it?
I see, didn't realize the other half was an instance. Just use the split tool and cut the n-gon into 2 quads... Then continue this new edge to the center of the chest or reroute it up the neck.
Hi Guys, I am modelling a complex object but facing some challenges. Can someone please help me with this. Thank you for your time Problems to solve 1.topology 2.pinches
well 2 ways. First one is to Get the main shape done (with as few polys as possible) Then Sub-d once and work with the secondary shape. second one is to do it as a floater. my take on it! =)
Since it's been very requested lately: Started with a platonic solid, smoothed and spherified, from there it's 100% quad draw (retopology on a proxy sphere), 1 extrusion and 2 bevels. Takes a few minutes
I dont think those are actually 2 seperate pieces welded together. I modeled that piece as one solid chunk of metel and it looks just fine. Out of interest, what are you modeling it for?
