@Toby3D Yeah, asking questions is fine but posting what you've generated thus far so people are able to offer more concise advice or even suggest particular workflow/s that might potentially be effective streamlining a certain aspect in your modeling process, would be much better :+1:
So i suppose it´s a relatively easy one but for FKING HELL i cant get over this without making extreme artifacts.... soo yeah im basically stuck at modelling the tip of a sword(blade) and this is how it looks like when i try to model it... Thank you in advance!
i used cutter to make some other edge loops and tried to make it like the original image for me is the best challenge I hope to be of help, I have been modeling for just over a month ... the link fbx for my attemp: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssuoygrvzy5z84b/detergentPolycount.fbx?dl=0
I normally do that, but i just wanted to show how to get the shape done. And i split the top poly row too. And if you skip part 1-3 like i said in my edit you won´t need that either, because it´s already done :P
I am having a little trouble fixing this area on an MP7A1's flash hider for a high poly. When sub'd it doesn't visibly pinch so does it matter? Should I just detach them into elements and add more loops? Also, I modeled the inside of the flash hider, was that stupid?
IronLover64's request got buried under my discussion, so I feel obliged to help him. Here is how I'd do it. Maybe someone can figure out a cleaner edge flow. The part that slopes down and creases at the same time is tricky. https://pasteall.org/blend/23fdae71ff074a3aae2b36925e1caa96
can somebody please tell me how to add more than 10 edge loops in maya? the insert edge loop tool only lets me go up to 10 and i want 19 :S [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3LdMAqUMnM[/ame] i miss you max
Hi guys, I'd like to know how would you model this: It is the release lever of a S&W revolver I'm currently working on. I'd like to have the most accurate reproduction allowed (reasonably), but cannot figure out how to manage shape blending between tiny grip piramids and the whole object. Thanks for any suggestion.
Has anyone ever tried to make corn husk objects or have any idea how to model them to look as close to reality as possible? The main cage (metal parts) is easy peasy, but I find myself struggling with all the weaving/ bending parts :s Any ideas how to approach all those crazy parts?
So, since probooleans give me headaches and some people say not to use them 'cause of all the trouble they can cause, what is the best way(s) to cut perfect holes in basic shapes like cylinders, squares, even spheres? I've looked at youtube videos, but I feel members here might have faster ways.
