Learning UE3 materials with my test model: Only uses a diffuse & a normal texture right now. Little bit of extraneous stuff to fix. Going to look into a subdermal scatter fake next.

Unsure of what colour scheme to go with for him - all accessories have been greyed out for the minute. Im thinking bottom right or top left at the minute - what do other people think?
nother page of cool shiat. trying my luck at painting some concepts for a theme I want to work on. the bottom left is going to be suspended by shit ton of balloons. Any ideas for the bottom right?
Something I started tonight, only a little over an hour in. Going to work on the ground and wall first, then work to the house I suppose. The cube textures on the wall were just to be sure the tiling texture was scaled right.
I see you are working at a new Ma.k project, nice choice mate, I love the details! Gonna finish mine someday, right now im working on a fantasy enviroment project. Good luck futher on!
trevor87, Konstruct is right, it's a spec power map, or Gloss map. It lets me make some areas of the specular super tight and wet, like in the eyes. Thanks for the comments guys, I am glad you are digging.
EQ is right, it won't tile, correctly. Originally I didn't intend to make it a checker pattern, I added that after everything was baked. It was just something that did not occur to me at the time. :( And yes, karera, the grout is sunken.
Making a minigun. It's almost 2000 tris. Right now I'm just playing with shapes. The back of the gun wraps around the forearm like a gauntlet. I'm planning on normal mapping this, well the final result anyway. Alex
