I somehow think the forearms are little short and the paint somehow looks like it could use a little breakup, it looks more like vinyls for some reason. Bottom of the feet makes her seem flat foot as well.
Just something i've been working on for Zombie Panic. Uses 512 Diffuse, Normal, Self Illum. Specular to come soon. Tricount is 764. I'm thinking of changing the texture behind the text to some some of plastic or painted surface.
awesome work DemonPrincess,- I just had to paint over her because she has great proportions- skinning a model like that would be propably alot of fun just some random changes that came to mind,- just for fun
Rollin you is rollin' strong man. The paint over is genius man, if you can get that out of your texture, you win a cookie... maybe even 2 if I don't eat the other one. Nice job man :)
Trying to create the skin tools it already in 3dsmax..... for Maya!!! It works perfectly.... I only try to find a solution and get red and blue colors same as 3dsmax.... Maybe I can use the Maya's paint tools... Anyway, on progress! :)
@orionburcham: I would retopologize each rough element so that all the little sub-parts eventually become 1 clean mesh. ONce you have that unwrapping will be much easier and a cleaner job + also easier to read for the one painting on it.
In my limited experience w/ Maya it became necessary to start thinking in nodes the more complex a scene got. That's all a scene is in Maya is a bunch of nodes. They think they're so cool those fucking nodes. Paint job on a stylized head:
Jackwhat--Looking so amazing. Really love the colours and very well-executed simplicity. You make me really miss painting :( Like, good ol' oil or acrylic on canvas and all that classic stuff! More, more :D lol
Xaltar: It probably took you longer cause you're not used to mudbox shortcuts/interface. I still have yet to learn Zbrush due to its clunky interface whereas in Mudbox I just picked it right up. Started painting Monika
my first shot at oil painting, the 1st is just black layering, 2nd is with the white i just tried to add and turned into one big nightmare. I let it dry for a day or 2 but it just wont work, ah well, back to pencils it is.
