Thanks poopinmymouth! Agreed on the symmetrical wrinkles, fixed. 8000 polies, is this acceptable for the average polycount for a main character in the average 360/PS3/PC title? Next up I have to clean the normal maps up bit, and I'll start a thread when I start texturing her. I'll post a wireframe then aswell.
uh oh sayanora you know what hapened to several guys from polycount when they started modeling warhammer stuff doncha? lookin pretty good so far. its pretty bold and chunky i like that, warhammer online models would be a bit more detailed than that, but its shaping up really nice.
Hello everyone, I'm new here to the Polycount forums. Thought I would start things off by posting something I was thinking about revisiting and revamping. I did this about five years ago and was never quite pleased with the colors in the texture map (I think they are a bit too saturated). Anyway, comments and suggestions…
just a lil side thing i started when i was bored... the scene's called 'encapsulated' on my project list in xsi.. based offa some image from cgtalk or conceptart (dont recall).. probably gonna keep it ~ ut level polycount for stuff.. if it goes along decently, may ask about if anyone cares to make up a figure to have…
Looking great as usual Tennis! First free weekend after exams end, classes start monday once again. The worst is that i don't even have the files of the model i've working on here! Some rushed model just to practise some female modeling... didn't care about topology or polycounts or something, just wanted something fast…
looks scary and gritty ghost_rider, i like it! nice touch with the slit throat. that's what the undead should look like. it has a beetlejuice flavor to it and imo that can never be a bad thing. welcome to polycount, SkyHigh. your model is looking good. a 10,000 poly budget isn't too far off where things are going these…
I'm trying to improve myself on heads. This one's polycount got a bit higher than expected (around 2200 tris) but it might do it for the next generation hehe. I also modeled the interior of the mouth, teeth and so to try to do some facial animations. But what is the best way to do them to be used in a game: morph targets…
Soul: This is what I found on the CA forums: "To change pressure you need to go to Edit > Preferences > Brush Tracking. Other than that it sounds like you need to go into the actual Control Panel for your tablet." You could look in there for anything to activate pressure sensitivity. MoP: Great crits! Stuff like that…
This is the most I can get out of mudbox on this computer. 213353 tris on screen... subd7 from a box. Should I be getting more detail/sharpness out of this polycount? Still kinda unsure about the subtleties of sculpting. Eyes still have a lot of issues, good call, mop -- this is just idle scribbling, but on my next serious…
[ QUOTE ] Time to jump on the bandwagon! About 800 tris Stupid question: Where can I find the triangles/polycounter? I seem to have misplaced mine while upgrading from Max8 to 9. [/ QUOTE ] Be prepared for some follow up comments, the low poly supposedly is for under 500 tris. The soldier is a bit above that so you…
