hehehe, cute bugger there chris, I like the armour, maybe the hat looks a bit weird this one is from shimmer and me when he came to visit, the feet are still a bit fat, but that will soon be fixed.
RobG I love the way you color and your postures, makes me happy to see Still seems a little unfinished. I've started on a new head for a full character that I'll soon thake into P&P.
IanW, that really looks good! I just love that orange fire-truck against that snow. And it reminds me that snow can come anytime soon now, I live up north, above the Polar Circle...
Well..I finally got to end of this amazing thread. Managed to fill up a folder with about 24 meg's of stuff to look at and learn from. You all do excellent work...I'll be back with something soon...
just tossin this up as a taste of what may come should things pick up on a second ut level I want to get done relatively soon... http://studioflaagan.com/images/3d/pillarofeden/idea1.jpg
Likuid, thanks. Your bmw render looks great, not 100% realistic render, but anyway i like it. The belt is finished, i will post the image soon. This is the next item: lower arm protection (don't know it's name in english:))
thanks for the crit EQ... redid all the smoothing groups and here's how it turned out. Normal map bake with no smoothing groups... how embarassing. Still have some cleanup to do... spec and color maps coming soon!
looking better vitor. digging the sharp creases in the trousers too. I may steal that idea:) yeah skin/texture stuff, I will post the flats soon when its looking more finished. time for beer now
As soon as someone on these board mentioned that face tatoos are passe I've realised how often they are used (especially in commercial games). He was right, even though it suits the model it might be better with something different. (blame whoever said it, not me! )
got it in unreal finally. Still need to redo parts of the normal projection, do an AO bake, and project out some diffuse masks. I should be having fun just noodling around with material effects and texturing soon enough.
