@ Tepcio Hey man looking real nice. Just like Uncharted :D I am no level designer or Environment artist. But if I really have to add something I would say: - You may wish to add more definition and depth for cracks in your rocks. Not sure what you are using for render, so you may wish to simply paint darker these areas in…
Just some nature stuff... probably going to add ruins, a tree or two, some bushes, and call it a day. Trees in the back are old placeholders, all bark textures are placeholders too. I feel like the sculpted detail on the rocks isn't there yet either.
This is going to be my next project and I made this rock formation that I´m going to turn into modular blocks. It´s going to be deep sea kind of environment with beautiful mermaids and angler fishes. I´m going to keep update my progress here: https://www.facebook.com/artbykimmokaunela
Another day of Material Study. These rocks were hard ( No pun intended :D ) Also I accidentally created this artificial heart while I was trying to make a water material :D [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A65rWpEL8U"]CryHeart - Vertex Deformation in CryEngine - YouTube[/ame]
Thanks man! Im thinking about moving the sun or the circle rocks into the spiral more. I think ill have to rotate the whole scene to do that, given how the texture works and Ill be concepting out some forms in that space in 3d I know its still in a concepting phase. :)
Thanks Billymcuffin, I love these kinds of crits, you rock. I just finished up the base meshes and modified the silhouette of the middle barn. Better? Since these will be made for RTS-like games (and will be fairly small on screen), each building will have its own single texture sheet. Base meshes:
redhonour: I love your wood, I think that looks really solid. The rocks look a little bouncy or drop-shadowey in places so they look like a 3d model. I'd pull up the blacks so they're less dark and add some variety to some of the shadow widths, e.g. like this
You have no idea how impressed I am by this. This is not fucking easy. (trust me, I tried). I have to know how you did this. Did you just make a single God Rock and Jenga that shit on top of eachother? OR make a Macro normal sculpt with micro normal details? GIVE US YOUR SECRETS.
Wow! So much awesome stuff around! You guys rock! @kimmokaunela: thats one great looking drill man! @BeatKitano: Looks really cool! @Armangelo: Looks great so far! Keen to see where you take this! @PogoP: Really great looking gun! Finally finished this UE4 project! On to new things!
Awesome work Guys, always inspiring to poke into this thread and see such cool shit. :) @ Shinobik awesome, I really like the materials! @ MFTituS Love it! The pattern and the shapes are really nice. @ Jonas Ronnegard Kickass Rocks, very crisp, has a nice style to it. :) After work/Late night shenanigans. (ignore the…
