You can only use the bones that have cloth physics already. You will know because they are named : cloth... But Valve has to implement them and it sounds like they don't want to.
Thanks was a bit misleading named "load weapon" but the head is a little offset, his jaw is bent im guessing because of clipping issues, so how to I fuse the two?

I use blender for export to smd is just 1 click thing. All you have to do is select the mesh and path (where the file saves) and it exports to that folder with the mesh's name.

Use the outliner for skin binding. Just navigate to the bone you want (and you cant miss it there, its named sword_1 or something like this). Duplicate, unparent and smooth bind with your mesh.
