Can we add http://dota2.com/workshop/requirements to the first post for reference? Even after reading most of these pages, I didn't realize this link listed those characters that are already split up and ready for submissions.
Does anyone have a download or something to the Dota2 materials from the VPK file? My GCFScape is being a rat and won't read the pak01_dir correctly or extract the materials folder. The models folder extracted fine so I don't need that.
Fewes : really loving this, she looks adorable like that. I feel like there is a lot of untapped potential in the Dota2 workshop scene when it comes to subtle character customization, and I am glad to items like yours appear and be well received !
So theoretically speaking we can use the same process used for TF2 to make models for Dota? edit: Found a big list of resources that can be helpful for the aspiring Dota2 Workshopers:) http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/discussion/900965314102467750/?appid=570
Ye it appears that Cuteness is the path to succes. But yea I agree with you Andy. I rather see a badass mandril delivering items. Also another badass Dota2 Stylized courier is the Migthy Boar. @OrganizedChaos and @Saman Great!! Upvote and to Favorites
For the people doing taunts, I have a few questions! - How are you getting the DotA2 heroes, with rigs included? - Are you animating bones or are their controllers? - Is valve accepting taunts in the workshop? Or are you making them now, and waiting for taunts to be implemented? Thanks for the help =]

That's just how you upload it to the workshop. Not how you compile the model to view it in game. As said previously, look at the links above. It's way too long of a process to describe to everyone who's never compiled a model for Source and wants to jump on the Dota2 train.
Hey guys. I'm pretty new here, and to 3D modelling, but I had to try my hand at modelling for dota 2. The texture is still extremely WIP, it's at the moment, base colours. The weird checker pattern comes from the VMT referencing non-existent masks, so it comes out funny in the model viewer. Here's a wireframe of LOD 0:…
