Nice, this has me looking at all the weird extended primitives in a new light. I made a bunch of mistakes but I whipped this up in a few minutes: -
Re: Semi-Transparent water.
Further, it seems it doesn't lose it's color if the object it is on is small. But any plane or bsp that I extend outward to the horizons has all color washed out of it. -

Dope concept. Nice start, the head looks kinda short/stubby. The whole chest up could be extended proportional-wise to match the concept better. -

I like it, love the style. Maybe extend the glow on the barrel on the thin red part at the front. looks like that section is to thin to get the full glow. -

And I prefer those cut versions to the extended editions. I think he could have cut more out of Avatar the training montage for instance. -

ya the distance slider on the tool you have to set the distance, than adjust the count so they dont come short of the path, or extend past the path -

may I ask why you modelled around those bricks at the base and didn't just extend that plane and have the seam under the corner piece?
