Makes sense, if its Blizzard or Rockstar asking you there should be no concern. But if its literally who with single or no projects like in my case, one should be concerned.
You need to look at the light detail. Your sword doesnt exactly show any depth. Whereas the reference does. Blizzards painters are masters at that kind of thing.
Designed internally at Blizzard. I sculpted and engineered him, using the supplied raw model as reference. And Ben Mathis laid out the UV's for the pre-viz rendering.
You might be right, a tillable texture with the separate model for the edges, it beats stitching all the verts together. Props to Blizzard for how ever the hell they pulled it off!
ive been waiting for the day that blizzards cinematic teams make a full length movie... Ill blow through an entire kleenix box in the first 10 minutes....
They are using Blizzard's Concept Art as their reference. The concept they are trying to achieve themselves is the "Barbarian Darius." I believe they are fully allowed to do this, so long as they aren't creating exactly what is seen in the images.
2 is waay more creative, it's harder but it's better when you pull it off~ #1 is a normal kid jumping about~ #2 is some sort of creative wind/blizzard/time thingy mage~
Hmm, I thought the latest Blizzcon Art Panel had some pretty good stuff, but I don't know if you can find it on YouTube. The Blizzard Retrospective is also a good watch.
I've watched it countless times thank you haha. Just curious if you had examples of hand painted stuff done in 2.0, so artwork like blizzard or Riot Games.
Ok I'm going to give some environment art a try. I found this sexy concept from Blizzard for Diablo 3. I'm plannign on making the entire scene, heres the building blocked in.
