Hi People! I just want to start and learn a bit more about Substance Designer. I made some Materials with the Tool but these are not good enough. Is there a Tutorial to achieve something like this: Searching for some Desert Rock/Cliff/Terrain Substance Designer Video Tutorials. Can somebody help? Thank You, Gazu
finished piece: Hello ! there was so many champ. I wasn't able to choose one, so i have decided to choose at random. Bam! Rammus :susp:, After reading her story, I wanted to talk about his place of origin, the desert Shurima. it would make it look like Nasus, Azir or Sivir.
man, it's so vast! I think it would be a fun project to get a group together and survey an entire planet, keeping a journal of the progress. I hope it doesn't fall into the sci-fi trope of every planet consisting of a single biome like forest planet, swamp planet, desert planet, etc...
Your props look wonderful! I really like this scene, although I prefer the more moody foggy atmosphere of the first few shots. They just seem more Alan Wake and lonely to me, and would suit a deserted scene better in my opinion. Keep up the sexy work! *Subdividiscribed*

you... bastard. Good point, I have looked at it too long and I'm blind. Now that it's the next morning and I have seen what I went to bed with I am ashamed. Why is it in the desert with foresty/urban cammo? I will redo the enviro base to suit it more! Cheers mate :) !
you're probably right... found a vid showing how to make a desert in about 15 mins and was just going to put a character and a couple of vehicles... but like i say it's been a long slow learning curve so its probably going to be rubbish! :D it'll make for a fun hobby at least!
Actually the remake has more of a sandy, desert feel to it. The original was set in a snowy area, so the tones very much reflect this, in both games. This is bug one single room. There are many more. The one to the dude fir example holds a spinning red alarm light that lights the room red instead.
For me it as all about playing 1942 over the office network back in the old Oddworld days. BF2 was cool and all, but felt a little old after playing a shit ton of the Desert Combat mod for 1942. Course, it helped that I didnt really play BF2 in quite the same setting as 1942...
i'm no art photographer, but i for one like the black fade and the DOF. sure, maybe it's not all hardcore darkroom pure photography(i assume it's done in photoshop) but it has a cool surreal, deserted look. no reason to go by the book all the time.. a set of strict rules kinda kills this sort of thing.
