Agree - so much good work. And thank you! I like your characters, especially the pirate one! A few more mood/color/lighting studies: This one is heavily inspired by Syd Mead`s superb works:
"where did this suddenly appear from" Heh, obviously not subscribed to their facebook page eh? :D They post all kinds of updates like behind the scenes. Oh and Justin...That's mighty soupa of you to wait rather than pirate.
OK update. I've set up a little scene for the pirate. But boy, is it brown! I need some other colour in there, but will that detract from the character? These are the questions on everybody's lips. Maybe. Still not set on the face. I'm not about that face.
Nice subtle dig there Earthquake. lol http://playstationlifestyle.net/2009/09/09/eidos-sets-sneaky-trap-for-arkham-asylum-pirates/ But the PC version was released before his post so ... umpire says SAFE!!! :P
Why pirating isnt a crime. Hey lets make this about politics! Checkout my flash website! Hey look at this cool art/shader network/other cool work while I never post breakdowns about it.
I second Diegos suggestion! would definitely fit the pirate look more than the aztec/mayan design! or maybe something else but still jolly rogery, maybe a sea shell, a crab shell or a giant shark tooth.
Well, whatever it is, it would need to be something that everyone can do. So... no genres. No steampunk, no fighting games, no fantasy, no cooking shows, and definitely no "deadly ninja pirate tyrannosaur F-14 pilots". So... let's get crackng!
Well then, my answer to your specific question would be buy a month subscription and screencap every tut you want to watch ;p A little bit 'naughty' I guess but it's better than straight pirating it off of the web.
Bahahah oh man I gotta watch Pirates again. Great model mate! Though I gotta second the crit about his fingers, they appear a bit too bony. For future reference I guess :/ Cheers
shitty tree I spent too long on crappy pirate guy and finally something from reference All done in painter 9 btw, cs5 isnt saving my brush presets, so, back to the old apps
