I totally agree @PixelMasher that is one of the main reasons that I joined polycount, so I can start getting in conversation with a lot of people in the community. At the very least that way they may be able to match a face to a screen name at a meetup or convention. I know I'm going to meeting a lot of people at GDC this…
synced up in short: baker uses same data for encode as real-time shader to decode normal map. Sadly that is not sooo often the case.. http://pixeljetstream.blogspot.de/2012/06/tangent-space-can-cost-extra-money.html
PixelMasher- that's awesome man, would love to see the behind the scene stuff someday when the game is out :) seems like not a lot folks liked the combat system- I think this is the first time I heard officially a game company from the west that would go with JRPG look and gameplay. I think it's a good risk but then again,…
Wow. It has been a while. Been drooling over Star Citizen. Almost obsessed. I wanted to create a bounty hunter ship. Behold the Proxus Bee-killer. [IMG]http://www.polycount.com/forum/<a href="<a href=http://s1329.photobucket.com/user/Pixelforgestudios/media/Scarab2_zpsf61fe624.jpg.html"…
Thanks PixelGorilla I think that probably makes the most sense symmetry and then pose. I'd have to say we share some things in common, as I also tend to abandon things for TV.
@_Kratos_ Thanks! I'll see if I get arouund to it another time maybe :) Or implement it in future projects, starting to move on from this project but I will fix some smaller stuff this weekend :) @macoll Thanks! Nothing I can really talk about unfortunately without being at risk for some corporate flame :P @pixelpatron…
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly PixelMasher and Deathstick! In answer to a few of your questions, the scene will be a single room with 1 hostage , 1 bad guy and possibly 2 SWAT member which will be rendered most likely in MentalRay. i plan to reuse my models and modify them as need be so i could potentially…
@ Envelope - Here's a lighting only shot. @Haiddasalami - I'm not exactly sure what your talking about but I believe that would be the lens flare. @PixelMasher - Thanks a lot. Will definitely work on those things.
Nothing's wrong with Modo, I'm sure most would agree It's really awesome actually. I just wouldn't put it in the cheap category, at ~$1000 Modo is not cheap. Affordable maybe, cheap compared to the ~$4000 you'd have to spend to get a professional license of Max or Maya, you betcha. Still though ~$1000 is not cheap…
Hi @jenna_dean I fixed those tiles a bit but didn't upload fixed version here. Instead it can be seen from my artstation site: https://www.artstation.com/anttiarvola @Eisenhorn thanks for the tip! That might work, maybe I should try this out. @pixelpatron I was going to add badge like that there but then I just wanted to…
