@gnoop Ok. I have never heard of them until now. @AlecMoody I am not saying I can't get a good match by eyeballing it. I can do that easily . I am wondering if it is possible which I speculated was not possible in my first post but I think is something we can diccuss and think about. So I made a thread about it. As for…
Hey Sergey, these tools are great ! I've used your clever "hiding layer visibility" script in the past a few times, definitely a time-saver. (by that I mean : the one relying on layer name starting with "hide " to trigger the action. Really cool for painting under lineart). Now a question for you. One thing I've never been…

Actually, what's interesting with minecraft is that it follows the mainstream receipt more closely than you'd want to think. The big difference between stranded, dwarf fortress and minecraft is a few super big things, since without even arguing we can say that dwarf fortress was and still is the deeper and more…
Found something of interest! A lot of these tools feel very fluid when compared to the default and sometimes clunky workflows in 3ds max and maya. Because you aren't dealing with the actual topology but rather groups of topology that form the primitive shapes it seems to make some operations a little easier. The…

Haven't been posting in a while, I was really busy the last few months. Anyway,Here is an old work I did for the talented guys at Rmory Studios. They were really kind to provide a solid blueprint for this combat suit which really helped me to jump right into modeling and finish the piece faster. Also I need to mention that…
Been running the developer preview on my eee slate since it came out. It's good, but I'm not sure it's really worth it. The new metro start menu is pretty lame, it's just all round a less streamlined interface than the standard start menu. I don't think you'll enjoy the onscreen keyboard though, it can be docked properly…
@pixie3d I agree with @gnoop A streamlined UI driven by hotkeys/pie menus is the way to go. All of the main DCCs have so many redundant tools, located in 2 or 3 places. I have to wonder why as a lone dev you are going the full DCC route? Animation and rendering? It seems like a huge endevour. Have you thought about…
Aren't those out of use by now? I thought they stopped using them in the 60s. That's one of the older 1911-esque designs. I think it's been replaced by Glocks lately. If you found it clunky, then I'm sure a Glock will fix that. It's a hell of a lot more minimal. I own a SigP226, which isn't exactly streamlined either…
