No offense, but if you've gotten better results with 10 sided geometry then 8 sided geo, you've screwed up somewhere. I went ahead and spent 30 minutes on these 2 models. Left one has 1 bump per poly, gives really nice, even results. Right one would/should give nicer results but that would involve tweaking the cage some… -

it's ok i mostly play lan, and we've increased unit caps to stupid ammounts (like... every seen 1000 orks get mowed down by 500 marines? :P) anyway, i'd say fix the clipping on the robe, it's a static pose so you can afford the polies to make it look pretty. -

In NZ melanoma is a major problem, due to insane UV levels here. Awareness is high though; we even have UV levels in our weather forecasts here. Nobody with a clue spends more than ten or fifteen minutes out of the shade between 10am and 3pm here in summer, even with light cloud cover, suncreen is really required all year… -

Ahh that may be why. I'm not a huge zbrush user, but is there a visual difference between 300k and 500k with decimation master? The way I look at it is, the more detail in your high poly, the better. -

Objects have an over all scale transform history. So for example if you created a giant cube that object down 5000% it will attempt to apply certain operations with that scale in mind. You can reset it, telling it to use the current size as 100% (Hierarchy tab > Reset > Transform & Scale). Or if you don't care about the… -

For $20 more I could go with 1TB RAID 0 (2 x 500GB SATA HDDs). The 1TB upgrade from the 640GB is free. All together I still have this old system with 500GB HD and another 250 external. My wife's system is an additional 1TB and hers is no where near full and never will be, haha. So I think I have plenty of storage for now.… -
