I've had good stuff from Blender Cookie before - and this set looks pretty cool: CG Cookie Training Series: Hardcore Vehicle Modeling - Conceptual Process http://cgcookie.com/vehicle-series/
[ QUOTE ] and why do they all have a red light on their left side of the vehicle mode? [/ QUOTE ] I'm betting it's so said light can flash when they speak in vehicle mode. Frank the Avenger
In the comics, they transformed into different vehicles -- FYOOTURE vehicles! -- but reconfigured themselves for purposes of stealth upon their arrival on Earth. Hey, are they going to refer to Mars as Cybertron? If they refer to it as Mars, I'll cry.
Thought id share one of my 3d pieces, with more to come. This was for a vehicle project where i had to model a vehicle in under 9000 tris with a 1024x1024 diffuse, colour spec and normals I modeled a shelby 1967 mustang with 8543 tris
theirs probably 30 other cars in that area, if you look at most of the Vehicle assets in Uncharted there not very hi-res, i think lowering the res on the vehicles and upping the res on the characters is a good trade off.
The vehicle seems light years ahead of the rest in terms of how solid it is. If I were you I'd put some more vehicle/environment/architecture stuff in the folio. Nice work and good luck with the job
Yeah but what you played was just a rush map the real battlefield IS the vehicles. There's no battlefield without vehicle combat, this is why i don't get why they released a small map as the public beta?!
Thanks, Georider! I'm basing my vehicles on period materials as much as possible. This particular vehicle was not authorised to display a Guards badge, as the 130th tank brigade were not yet awarded Guards status.
well, it is the standard soviet green used on all soviet vehicles. soviet vehicles have never been known for their glamorous colouration, so i try to give it a bit of variation through the weathering.
