I was looking into a tablet myself but dont think spending 1000 for a cintiq is a good idea as ive never used a tablet before basically i want to use it to make 2d concepts/ enviroment art for concepting what wacom product would you guys suggest for a noobie like me. -

Wouldn't it be sweet if Zbrush5's sliders where tablet friendly. Very hard to fine tune a slider on a tablet, even a mouse come to think of it. "hmm i want my noise strength at 0.7. its set as 1.0 i'll just slide it down a little bit, nek minut -0.696534095734095736" -

I havw tablet - very cheap but for first step maybe this can be okey. But i have one problem with drawing on tablet... My lines are not straight, because my hand pulse (i don't know are this good word)... Are in photoshop something like in Flash where we can align lines? -

I don't know if this is related to your problem or not, but I used to get stuttering on the cursor position from signal interference when I was using a CRT monitor if the tablet was positioned too close to it. I moved my chair back (I keep the tablet on my lap) and it went away. -

Wacom pens are almost never cross compatible, if the pen wasn't designed for that tablet it probably won't work. There's not any sort of special technology behind the pen nibs - those you can use in whatever pen, or can even use a toothpick or something - but the pens need to be for the tablet, in every instance I've heard… -

I started out using the mouse, as I think many polycounters back then did, and I can understand that adjusting to a tablet isn't an immediate thing, but: you're limiting yourself so much! I find it extremely hard to believe you're as fast as someone with a tablet this way, but I'd be interested to be proven wrong. -

You probably need to disable some tablet services if you're using one. If you find your way to the hardware/software manager, on the left should be a link to disable windows features. You basically just turn off everything related to tablets, because its all crap. Pen flicks too. -

Also, be sure to go into your Wacom Tablet Properties menu, double click the tablet icon at the top, then pick "Recognition Data" this increases the hardware polling of the pen position. It's like increasing the stroke number in zbrush, only it is a hardware acceleration and doesn't slow you down as much as increasing the… -

We have a Amazon tablet, it's nice, and I like Prime video, but it's so closed and locked down compared to my Nexus phone, I can't use my Chrome Cast with the tablet, it has a more limited App Store, and the Prime Video app for Android doesn't work with ChromeCast and has more issues. -
Re: Zbrush dragging problem?
Okay so its not zbrush. It seems like my pen "shuts off" when held still. Basically if I move my pen, my tablet detects it fine but as soon as i STOP, my tablet stops registering it as there. This sucks bad. Anyone have that problem? A pen not reading when held still?
