Hi, I'm using the most recent version (4053). Problem is happening in other project also: fill layers set to pure black cannot be saved. They are always set to pure white. Can (kind of) be solved by simply not setting the color to pure black but a very dark grey.

I like where this is going, but if the model is still just over 600 tris you should add in the extra 400. If you've got a budget of 1024 you need to hit that.
lolno why don't you use a larger texture, and drop that polycount by half. 40k is obscene. also pointless to spend tris on areas that will be so small they will be mere pixels in game.
Little update. I do some screenshots with different presets in Handplane. In fact Source Engine preset is the best, because with Maya 203/14 I always have seams.
