I'm going to take up smoking to pass the time, now that Mr Aidan Spamhuckster has ruined my visual arts career after BURNING OUT MY RETINAS WITH HIS RED TYPE!!!111 Geez. /jzero
dinos rule, my first post on here was a dinosaur about 1.5 years ago that got torn to shreads like virginia slims, we've come a long way baby, lol http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=53625
Hi! So I think I finished this piece, hope you guys like it. It's arounk 11k triangles, and it uses a 2k map for the body, and some additional small maps for the props and stuff. Once again, I used the amazing Marmoset engine :) Cheers : Rota
I was having the same problem with my server room scene and MaYdaY suggested the follow console variables. These worked great for me. r_DynTexMaxSize = 400 e_ShadowsMaxTexRes = 4096 r_ShadowJittering = 6 e_ShadowsConstBias = 1 e_ShadowsCastViewDistRatio = 1.5
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. :) It took me about 1,5 hours to create the new preset and apply it to all the textures in the scene. What I wanted was more grime and to better accentuate the edges.
With the progress you have shown in 1,5 years and another 3 years to go ..... honestly I don't see any problem! Don't know if it helps but everyone in this industry is (or has been) working their asses off.
MellowYeahLow: I have one of the larger models and it is true that there can be scratches on there. I have a smaller one on mine. It is a little annoying sometimes but it is totally fine. I think mine is like 1.5 years old.
I did this using xnormal filter, normals2cavity, x+, y-, z+, method: EMB, contrast 1.5 Looks practically the same as the one pior made in crazybump, just need to up the contrast a bit more.
