this thread is awesome ... i did a minitutorial for modeling straps...i thought maybe someone here will find it usefull ... i dont want it to be only in my boysoldier thread...
Ah ok then, first of all I'm curious if you're modeling off a reference or own design, if indeed the former can you post an image because likewise was not obvious?
split it up, if that's the building and roof. Roof are made of one part (and even that is split up in many) . Honestly i have no idea what part you are trying to model....
Hey! I've been struggling with this model. What would be a better topology for the normals to look good here? Especially the areas framed in orange. http://postimg.org/image/xc8edmlvr/
Model it from the cylinder first. The hole, you just need to cut out the piece then sub divide, for the square. Just extrude and scale down, or inset extrude, etc.
Any idea how to model this thing? It's a small stool or something. whoever have the time to do small tutorial for me. I will respect that. http://postimg.org/image/wfxr8lms5/
I actually use 5 sided polygons in a lot of places in my models. As long as it smooths as expected or the issue is very small just move on to more important stuff :)
Hi everyone! This photo is of a dome with a cool diamond-like pattern all over it equally. How would you even begin to model this on a sphere? http://i.imgur.com/bwATJDJ.jpg
