When you're trying to solve your 3D problem at work, #yellowPolygons. I am seriously not happy with my current solutions. Yeah I actually showed my friend this at his place, and I noticed it looked a lot darker on his screen. I've had issues with this in the past, gamma correction issues I think. I'm not really sure how to deal with it. When I open a screenshot in PS it looks really dark - probably what you are seeing. It looks a lot better… -

what neox said. our clients mostly use maya and max. PS and ZBrush are a must. Mari and Mudbox are not entirely uncommon. Behind requests for Mari seem to be shops that want us to use Substance and Houdini. i.e. not a whole lot yet. A lot of other software we can pick ourselves and there we stick to dDo/nDo, xNormal, 3D… -

I use a mix depending on the environment use. Outdoor scenes, I use Unity with auto unwrap and a HDR image to help get the tone I want. The built in lightmapper is really painless.
