Hello, I am a junior data science student from northern Virginia looking to get a technical related internship for the spring and/or summer of 2024 in the video game industry. I can send my resume and/or portfolio to anyone interested. I know that a a lot of members here work at game companies so I thought I'd try and see…
Made a night-time version of this island paradise from the summer now that we're in the cold winter months here in Canada - I have a bunch of breakdowns and the footage of the day night transition on my AS: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9mO1ga
Really appreciate the feedback, really helpful stuff! The deadline is just around the corner and even though I don't want to just yet, I must call this done. Perhaps revisit it in the summer when I have time.
Triple A quality? That's it im out im not good enough yet + exams D: In all serious since my exams are done on Monday if this contest starts on Sunday that means that I can enter if my summer schedule allows it.
Since Summer 09 I think so...almost 3 years (2 years and 8 months) I was unemployed and taught myself for 1 year before I got a professional job doing it, been doing it since. :)
@TheWarlord18Thanks for the crit :) and i see what you mean although I'm still getting to grips with ue4. I plan on upgrading a lot of work during the summer (I'll be less busy then), so I won't be working on it for a while.
picked up The Skillful Huntsman at a comic shop in London last summer. it's an exercize in iterative design, or a 'making of something that isn't getting made' book as opposed to the more tradition Art of books and full of literally tons of awesome concepts.
I wasn't aware of that internships had to be paid in California. That explains why I haven't seen that many. I know that the only studio in my immediate area hasn't had one for environment artists since last summer.
Hope everyone out there in Polycount land is having as wonderful a day as I am. Summer weather and jazz music whilst texturing More breakdown shots > https://polycount.com/discussion/189128/sketchbook-dn/p1#latest -DN-
After a rather lengthy summer break (it was great weather in western Europe) we are back on track on this project, so expect a little more activity from now on . Let's start of with these character concepts for 3 of the main characters in Pingo.
