     Run a memory test on your ram / swap video cards. Usually when games lock up its either drivers/ram/card overheating.

     wow, wonder how someone can manage to screw up making a USB cable, it's only 4 wires. Perhaps pin 2 and 3 are swapped?

     I ended up plonking for http://www.snapfiles.com/get/MultiMonTaskbar.html . It's not quite as good, but it has the window monitor swap buttons and allows two task bars.
