Material ID's not Baking as expected
Hey folks... I've been trying to get correct material ID's to bake all day and have hit a wall. I've set up unique lamberts in Maya for each ID on my high poly pieces that I want to bake out in Painter. Hm... OK, I'll get really specific. - Your poly density on your exhaust pipes coming form the bottom of the car are super high. I wouldn't model the details on the lid/top of the barrel at all, you can have that in the normal map only, but your overall shape of the cylinder needs a lot more subdivisions. The field-of-view is very different between the two pictures. UDK defaults to 90 degrees, which is roughly equivalent to a very wide angle 10mm lens.
