@Saman Thanks! These are just going to be busts because I'm working on all 3 at the same time, I don't want to spread myself too thin. Blocking in stuff will be happening, I just like to concept out ideas a bit first otherwise I don't know what I'll be making and will lose interest. I also wanted to make sure I'm getting…
https://www.anatomy4sculptors.com/anatomy.php?menu=195 this should be your best friend :) theres a lot to be improved on your basic forms and proportions usually try to nail all that as good as possible before doing details. also closely look at clothfold references look at your characters feet and arms, how the muscles…
So, I really need to stop procrastinating and just do a proper character. So I decided to pick one from one of the previous character art challenges. Q-peng's "blade nare" concept. For now, I'm just aiming to push it as far as I can go and see what my limits are. I annotated this to roughly work out the proportions. I'm…

Apologies if you're not familiar with all the anatomical terminology I'll be throwing out. I'm a bit of an anatomy nerd, and I like* using phrases like "Distal head of the tibia", not just because they make me sound smart, but also because they're precise. If you need anything converted to layman's terms, just ask. *By…
Super cool TRON-like feeling on these :) I'd add a very subtle specularity to the black parts just to make them a bit more interesting (and actually show a bit of normal mapped anatomy?) but without loosing the focus on the glowing elements ! Cool project ! :D
Oh snaps. Sure does look like a mount. I think you could push the textures way further, and some of the anatomy feels very "floaty". The general concept behind the beast is cool, and I think its unique. Welcome to the wild west.
"Create and present an original humanoid character. The model should follow an industry production pipeline and make use of good anatomy." This is a great model but i do agree with the person who said the presentation should show all the hard work you put into the face.
I really like what uve done so far , anatomy seems pretty solid but the body seems too short maybe? if its suposed to be a teen i dunno its got a 7.5 head height which seems to be a good height measurement:poly124:
Finished the blockout in maya, gonna move on to zbrush now, experimenting my way towards the final high poly. Also tried to fix the anatomy, and I think it got better, now I just gotta fix the pose from the side, not dynamic enough.
