Its looking good especially for a first attempt to sculpt a human head in zbrush. Things that stand out to me are the nose, eye anatomy and ear placement. This site is a great resource for sculptors. Hopefully it helps. https://www.anatomy4sculptors.com/?menu=9&sub=22#body
cupsster, Dylan - Thanks!! lalalala LIFE DRAWING! :D Some wonky anatomies . . . also I'm too slow to fit in the hands, feet, and face most of the time D: imo that stuff really grounds the figure and makes it come to life. MUSS PRACTICE MORE!!
Hey man, keep up that clean style - it looks really nice. You should focus on anatomy studies, and still lifes to improve your values, try to show how different materials have different value curves and textures/edges Keep up :)
Finished the blockout in maya, gonna move on to zbrush now, experimenting my way towards the final high poly. Also tried to fix the anatomy, and I think it got better, now I just gotta fix the pose from the side, not dynamic enough.
i just didnt work on the foot haha was just showing progress. Is all the anatomy bad or just the areas i havent really touched yet? Im using a reference maybe it is just a bad one. i will try and find more i guess
Did a couple rough sketches of some skeletal anatomy to get a better grasp as to what I want to do. I'm thinking of doing a biped alien with 4 arms. I'll most likely be doing a lot more research before I start modelling.
I Also like the way it's going. The anatomy looks valid, you might need to focus some more work on the feet. It's lacking behind. But You probably already know that :) Just keep it up and I will have a look at it when you are done. Will be interesting.
And another one! This time a study of a piece by John Singer Sargent. I think I might do some landscapes or more body anatomy studies next... does anyone have any recommendations? Head of a Capri Girl by John Singer Sargent, study:
Hi, good job on these pieces of art. I'd recomend to polish a little bit your anatomy and look at your overall proportions. Turtle's legs are bigger than they should above the knees. And your second humanoid with the wolf hood seems kind of stretched vertically.
I really like what uve done so far , anatomy seems pretty solid but the body seems too short maybe? if its suposed to be a teen i dunno its got a 7.5 head height which seems to be a good height measurement:poly124:
