uncle - interesting association? lol Thanks for the mention on the arm anatomy, definitely a place i could use a lot of practice. I'll try to tone down the caricature-ness. RiotForQuiet, duoxan - on anatomy: I'm trying to keep her on the smaller side for her more girly character. I totally agree that some of the base-mesh…
spiderDude: thanksDude! nightFlarer: hmm, it's actually a photo-based skin texture, the lighting and layer fx in photoshop might be washing it out though... prototyp3: Haha, yeah those were a problem area for me, trying to keep the but defined and sexified while still looking "real" and not having fold lines that make it…
Here's an example to play with, a better way to approach a road in Max. There are many ways to do this though. http://ericchadwick.com/examples/files/2015-05-05_road-loft-max2015.zip You'll need to tweak this to make it pretty, but should give you a basis to start from. Note: Your normal maps should never be JPG format.…
Yup, like ErichWK said...uniquely unwrapping that wood is icky. Only benefit your getting there is that you have ao baked...but for a large area like this you can get by with SSAO/lightmass. For your lighting..its very neutral right now. Also, it doesn't match the sky at all..they need to match or it will look pretty bad.…

Here are some stone steps I made, might give you some ideas. http://ericchadwick.com/img/farmhouse_stairs.jpg A test scene made by…
Really? i've not had that issue yet... ericdigital: yeah i know haha. It's more for anyone who stumbles on it via google or something as well as our newer members :)
@pliang Thank you, what is a "show production"? @fogmann It Seems that Riva FLV Encoder did de-interlace the video, or at least the check box labeled "Deinterlace" was checked. I could upload it to youtube, but i don't know how good a youtube player would fit in on my site. And, I can't seem to find the option for…
dang poop! You might want to check this microsoft support article out Windows XP service pack 2 causes a drop in firewire speed to s100 for some reason. EricChadwick, we use Micronet external firewire drives to back up our archives, they've been pretty sturdy so far.
Avira AntiVir was what I used until I recently switched to Mac. Best antivirus I ever used (free and leightweight). There is a nag-screen to upgrade to a paid version every time you update... but you can get rid of it with some registry editing. I recommend it to anyone asking for a good antivirus. It also comes out on top…
