I wonder if using a stylus and a tablet might work better? I've been using a tablet to paint on terrains, and to do mesh painting, and it works fairly well. I had only one problem with it... Disable left-drag movement in perspective view?
Quick question; How many of you use a tablet for sculpting? I'm saving up to buy a Intuos 4 M at the moment, and am annoyed by the amount of things I run into that I could do easily with a tablet. Quick paintovers, annotations, anything...
I have the yiynova msp19U its great for the price but it does have its set backs. So the set backs are: color reproduction is not great especially when dealing with similar hues. There is slight jitter when drawing very slowly my hand has a bit of natural shake to it :( so it took me awhile to really notice it, ( this is…
I lost my Intous Tablet a while back and it wasn't a big issue until lately where I've been trying to get back into modeling in zbrush again. I'm thinking of getting a Bamboo Connect but it's advertised simply for sketching and note taking. Is it worth it or should I try to go for another tablet ?
Has anyone had trouble with the selection box being offset when using a tablet? This is on a win8 machine w/ a low end wacom tablet. Seems to get more out of sync as you get further from the upper left corner.
Found this http://gunnergurl.deviantart.com/art/Under-Pressure-258720857. Might help although I don't know which tablet you got. I'd try plugging the tablet to a different port too and different driver versions. Anyways, good luck with that.
i'll throw my guess in at $2,000. it's the same tablet tech as the 13" cintiq, but they're attaching a tablet to it, so just add the two costs together. hell they might even add an extra $500 just because "they're the bestest". lol.
2010 didn´t have the caddy system btw. it started with 2011 and their XBR stuff. If you have a tablet you could try to disable the tablet pc related services of windows they tend to bring forth unresponsiveness in different 3D programs.
Hmmm, I don't use that screen. But I know sometimes Photoshop is bad at detecting my Wacom tablet sensitivity, so I restart PS and keep the pen on the tablet until it's all loaded. THEN it recognizes sensitivity. Not sure if Yiynova would act similarly or not.
aphexx, Nice work . Are you using a tablet? The reason I ask is in our lab we don't always have enough tablets for every workstation so we try to teach skillful ways to use a mouse to do the same thing. Thanks,
